In Metro: Laura grateful for entrepreneurship with a mission

A great interview with Laura Joe – de Bruine recently appeared in Metro, in the Young and Entrepreneurial section. In the article, Laura speaks openly about her path as an entrepreneur, her love for Africa and how Your Digital Home came to be.

What started as a desire to help people grew into a company through which we support non-profits with websites, social media and online fundraising. Organisations working for Africa, other parts of the world, or Christian causes in particular find their way to us.

In Metro: entrepreneurship with a mission

At Your Digital Home we believe good causes deserve to be visible. Not just with a beautiful website, but with a clear story, a strong online presence and communication that touches people.

Many non-profits do wonderful work, but find it hard to convey that well online. That's where we help. We think along on strategy, build websites, write copy, manage social media, and help organisations reach more donors and engaged people.

Making impact and building a healthy business

The interview also covers a topic we often deal with: earning money in the non-profit sector.

Because yes, working for good causes can come from the heart. But it also needs to be sustainable. If you want to make a long-term impact, there also needs to be room for good collaboration, fair rates and professional quality.

For us that's no contradiction. Precisely by building a solid company, we can help non-profits better. Not just for a moment, but for the long term.

Building visibility together with Metro

We're grateful Metro gave space to this story. Not just because it's about Laura and Your Digital Home, but especially because it shows that entrepreneurship and social engagement can go very well together.

Our aim remains the same: helping non-profits become stronger online, so their mission can keep growing.
