Working with talent from Ghana: websites and online marketing for non-profits
Laura Joe - de Bruine

Behind the work on websites and social media visibility for non-profits at Your Digital Home are professionals who bring their knowledge and talent together. Two of them are Wilbert Boadzo and Nicholas Gyamfi, both from Ghana. At Your Digital Home we all work from our own expertise towards the same goal: helping social organisations tell their story clearly online and reach the right people. From websites for non-profits to online marketing and advertising campaigns.
With Wilbert: from design to a working website
For example, Wilbert Boadzo (Ghana) works on building and providing technical support for non-profit websites. He translates designs into pages that help visitors find information, get in touch or sign up. A great example is the website for Oikos, which received grateful feedback. Vanessa Namutebi (Uganda) handled the design and Wilbert took care of the build. Together with the organisation we worked on the strategy and content of the website. Another example is the website for No Apologies, where several kinds of expertise also came together. Angelique Kooreman handled the design. Wilbert contributed to the technical execution and support. That's how the organisation's story was clearly presented, aimed at the right audience.
Wilbert describes me as someone who pays attention to detail. I recognise that. A text that could be clearer, the spacing between elements, or how it displays on a phone — I like to keep checking until everything's right. His technical knowledge and my focus on content and finishing complement each other well.
In web design for non-profits, those details matter. A visitor needs to understand what the organisation does and be able to easily take the next step — whether that's signing up, donating, or scheduling an introductory call.
With Nicholas: reaching the right audience
With Nicholas Gyamfi (Ghana) I work together on online marketing and campaigns. He brings experience from working with, among others, Ecobank and Canva. Within Your Digital Home we work together, for example, on the campaigns for Livingstone. With Meta ads we reach a new audience for their trips. To do that, we combine audience research with fitting content and a targeted campaign approach.
That collaboration revolves around questions many non-profits recognise. Who do we want to reach? What appeals to these people? And what information do they need to turn interest into action? Nicholas brings his marketing knowledge. I think along from the organisation's perspective, the story and the audience. Together we build campaigns that align with the client's mission.
Different expertise, one shared result
I personally manage contact with the non-profits and safeguard the coherence between content, design and execution. Wilbert and Nicholas each bring the knowledge to further shape those plans. This collaboration is part of our international team, working from the Netherlands, Ghana and Uganda. We coordinate, share feedback and learn from each other's approach. The result comes from bringing all those contributions together. That's what makes working with Wilbert and Nicholas valuable to me. Together we build websites and online marketing that help non-profits make their work visible.
